Within the framework of cooperation between the State of Côte d’Ivoire and the United States, Côte d’Ivoire has received a grant of 300 million USD from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to implement a Regional Energy Compact. This Compact aims to :

• Strengthen electricity market integration in West Africa
• Strengthen the modernization of the Ivorian power grid
• Strengthen the capacities of Ivorian and sub-regional institutions.

To this end, the Government of Côte d’Ivoire has set up by decree n°2023-763 of September 28, 2023 the Regional Energy Compact Program Formulation Committee (CFPCR) to manage the project in its development phase.
